Course Description

A highly interactive and enjoyable course with practical ideas to take away.

Resilience is much talked about as an essential quality needed for wellbeing, happiness and success in an often uncertain and rapidly changing world. Children and adults need to develop the capacity to face challenges and assess risks and recognise their needs and act on them and to support children to do the same. This course covers the latest research about resilience and how to develop it in children and in adults.

Date: 10th December 2019
Venue: Unipart HouseCost: £85 + VAT

Training Objectives

  • Participants will understand more about current thinking about well-being and resilience in children and adults

  •  Participants will be able to self-assess their own resilience and the overall resilience of their team and setting

  • Participants will have shared helpful ideas to support their resilience of children and their team.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will leave with a greater understanding of resilience as a practice, not just a destination. They will leave the course with a new framework for self-assessment and to apply to the setting as a whole. They will also consider how the framework applies to children’s development and learning.
