Course Description

This practical and interactive workshop will explore how to:


This practical and interactive workshop will explore strategies for building effective relationships with parents/ carers.  Participants will be provided with opportunities to practise strategies for managing challenging situations, and reflect on a whole school approach which involves pupils, staff and parents/ carers. 


Family Links run courses using:



  • Interactive content: case studies, role play and dialogues.

  • Participants are encouraged to reflect on their own experiences and think about how the strategies can be used in their own school context.

  • Content which is supported by statistics, research evidence and current policy recommendations.

  • Facilitation of materials which has been trialled with education and mental health professionals (teachers, school leaders, school counsellors and clinical psychologists).


 £50 + VAT per person

Training Objectives

  • Develop a positive approach to working with parents inside and outside of school.

  • Explore strategies for building effective relationships with parents.

  • Practise strategies for dealing with challenging situations 

  • Reflect on a whole school approach which involves Pupils, Staff and Parents/Carers
