Course Description

Resilience is much talked about as an essential quality needed for wellbeing, happiness and success in an often uncertain and rapidly changing world. Children and adults need to develop the capacity to face challenges and assess risks and recognise their needs and act on them. This course covers the latest research about resilience and how to develop it in children and in adults.

Date: 10th December 2019
Venue: Unipart House
Cost: £85 + VAT

Training Objectives

• To reflect on latest research and definitions of resilience in children and adults
• To self assess resilience as a practitioner and in the workplace
• To consider what this means for personal and professional practice with children

Learning Outcomes

Participants will leave with a greater understanding of resilience as a practice, not just a destination. They will leave the course with a new framework for self-assessment and to apply to the setting as a whole. They will also consider how the framework applies to children’s development and learning.
