Course Description

Your voice is the most essential tool you have as a teacher.  It provides you with the ability to impart knowledge, ensure student's progression and manage behaviour.  Straining your voice can have a significant impact on your working day so the way you use it and look after it is vital. An actor will spend years training their voice yet as teachers we are expected to use it for a range of situations, sometimes with very little experience outside of the classroom. As a result this workshop will provide you with:

  • An understanding of your voice - its anatomy, the effect of posture and effective projection

  • Vocal techniques to help engage students

  • Using your voice as a tool for behaviour management

  • Vocal health, tricks and tips for starting the day

Cost - £35 + VAT per participant
