Many schools are identifying spelling as a priority across the year groups and are working to develop learning and teaching in this area. This course will provide you with an understanding of the curriculum requirements for spelling and the associated subject knowledge; an opportunity to explore strategies and approaches for engaging pupils in the investigation, learning and application of spelling; and creative approaches to tests and homework!
Suitable for NQTs, Early Career Teachers, teachers new to teaching spelling, TAs supporting the teaching of spelling.

These courses cover subject knowledge and approaches/pedagogies that would be suited to NQTs, teachers in their 2nd or 3rd year of teaching and more experienced teachers who have moved year groups or are returning to teaching after a time out of the classroom.
